trying a wash and go

Hey Guys,

Happy Tuesday!

Today I decided to attempt a wash and go. In the past when I've tried to do wash and go`s it didn't turn out very good, either my curls wouldn't be defined or I would have serious product buildup.

Today I decided to give it another try, and I also switched up my products. The picture below is a picture of all of the products that I used for today's wash day.

I hadn't washed my hair in about 2 weeks, so the first thing that I did was detangle. I detangled with a super cheap conditioner, (because I was running out of my favorite one) it gets the job done and I'm not too worried about using a lot of product. After detangling, I washed and deep conditioned my hair as normal and then I went in to start styling my hair.

To style: I first started by parting my hair the way I wanted it to fall. Then section by section I re-wet my hair with warm water, applied my leave in (which is going to make sure my hair is super moisturized) and worked it into my hair and then I applied the gel.

When applying the gel I started at the roots and made sure those were flat and then I added more gel and went down the shaft of my hair, to the ends. I also took my time and made sure that the gel was really defining my curls, and getting rid of any frizz that I had.

When I was finished I applied my Bare Your Hair Peppermint Oil, then took a T-shirt and soaked up any extra product that was in my hair. I let my hair dry for about 2 hours, and then I was over it lol. To finish drying my hair, I just took my blow dryer and dried my hair on high heat and medium air flow, until my hair was about 90% dry. To sleep I lightly banded my hair, added my scarf to keep away any frizz and then just put my bonnet on.

In the morning, just fluff and go!
