Summertime is almost here, and we have some exciting things coming your way!
We recently took a family trip to the beach for a little bit of relaxation, and fun. Since I knew I was going to be in and out of the water, I wanted to choose a protective style that was going to hold up throughout all of the fun.
I decided to do mini twists, which is probably my favorite protective style for many reasons.
1. It holds up well throughout different activities, as well as swimming.
2. Helps me retain a lot of length.
3. A great get up and go, little to no effort.
When doing my twists I like to start off on freshly washed and deep conditioned hair, by doing this it ensures that my hair is free of products and nicely moisturized. After washing, I split my hair into about 6 different sections, and start the twisting process.
To twist my hair I start by adding one of my favorite leave in conditioners, I then follow that up with Bare Your Hair ButterCream which is going to insure that my hair stays moisturized, and frizz free. When I am finished twisting my whole head I like to seal all of that moisture in with my Bare Your Hair Peppermint Oil, not only is that going to promote hair growth, but it also gives my twist a great shine.
In total it took me about 4 hours to do my mini twists, and they will last me up to 2 months.
Daily Care: I normally spritz my hair with water, and seal the moisture in with my Bare Your Hair Peppermint Oil
Night Time Routine: I just sleep with a bonnet on, sometimes I may do the banding method if I want a more elongated look.
