Believe it or not alopecia comes in many different forms, and today I am going to tell you a little bit about all of them.
1. Alopecia Areata: This occurs when the immune system attacks hair follicles causing sudden hair loss that starts with one or more circular bald patch, it may also be brought on by severe stress. Thankfully with dedication and consistency I was able to create Bare Your Hair all natural products and was able to fully grow my hair back, without experiencing any more hair loss. 2. Alopecia Universalis: Is a medical condition which involves the loss of all body hair. This includes eyebrows, eyelashes, chest hair, armpit hair, and pubic hair. It is the most severe form of alopecia areata. Dealing with total hair loss, it may not be as easy for that hair to grow back. However there are different medical treatments that you can look into for hair growth. 3. Alopecia Totalis: Is a skin condition that causes hair loss. It isn't the same as localized alopecia areata. For today's post I wanted to do something different, and tell you how I style/ wear my hair during the week. The styles vary from week to week depending on what I have going on. I made this blog post super quick and not too detailed just to save time, so that you're not reading all day, Sunday- I start off by putting my hair into two sections and then washing it (twice). Once I am done shampooing I apply my deep conditioner and detangle my hair, when that is fully applied I sit under the dryer for 30 minutes and rinse with warm water. Styling- I like to do four sections when styling. For each section I start by applying my leave in, brush that through. Once my leave in is in I go in with my styler and make sure that each strand is coated by smoothing the product in, and then I twist up my hair. I repeat this until my hair is done and then to seal in the moisture and add shine I apply my Bare Your Hair Lavender Oil. Monday &Tuesday- My hair is still pretty fresh so I don`t really do anything to my hair, if I have somewhere to go then I will just put my hair in a ponytail. Wednesday- Now that my hair has had some time to set and dry, it is time to take my twists out. Before I start taking my hair down, I apply a little bit more of my Bare Your Hair Lavender Oil to my hair and slowly start to take the twists apart. I make sure and take my time because I don`t want any frizz. Once my hair is done I give it a quick shake to get the curls to lay, and then I am done. Thursday- All I do is take my bonnet off, shake my hair and that`s it, sometimes I will pin one side back. Friday- By this time I am pretty much over my hair, so I will either wear it in a bun or in a ponytail. Its super simple and easy. I spray some rose water on my hair and then take a small amount of my Bare Your Hair Buttercream and run that through my hair for a little bit of moisture and then gather all my hair into the style. Saturday- I am still wearing my hair in my ponytail, I don`t apply any more product. Sunday- I will wash my hair and do another style whether its mini twists or a braid out. If I'm feeling lazy and don`t wash my hair, then I will just keeping wearing it in a bun or ponytail until I feel like washing it. How do you style your hair throughout the week?
