Today I straightened my daughters hair for school, and I wanted to show you some of the products that I like to use when doing her hair.
Before I do anything I start by sectioning off her hair and detangling with a conditioner. I like to use Vo5 because it is a great detangler and its also super cheap. I like to use a cheap conditioner because I use a ton of conditioner when detangling.
When shampooing I like to make sure that I am using some type of sulfate, so that her hair is getting as clean as possible. When straightening hair I make sure that it super squeaky clean because I don't need anything weighing down the hair.
I then move on to deep conditioning, to ensure that the hair is getting as much moisture as possible before I go in with heat. The frizz hair masque that I used today, is great for combating frizz and getting a smooth finish. The Aussie Moist is great for putting that moisture back into the hair.
The second picture are the products that I like to use during the straightening process. The smooth criminal (middle) is the first thing that I put on when blow drying, I like this stuff because its super light and it makes blow drying super easy. Then I apply the straightening mist and the heat protectant before I go in with the flat iron. When spraying them on I spray each section, I don't spray each piece of hair before straightening.
