You hair WILLNOT grow if your scalp is dirty. It is extremely important to the growth of your hair. Here are a few tips that help get you on your way to a healthy scalp. If you have a healthy scalp, you can be about 90% assured that you’re on your way to optimum healthy hair.

  1. Clean your scalp EVERY SINGLE DAY. This step is not an option! I cannot express enough how important it is to keep your scalp clean.  If your surroundings are dirty- your scalp is dirty. For example if you work outside- you have the debris from the day on your hair and scalp. If you  are around a lot of dust and dirty- rest assured it is also on your scalp!

    1. Wipe nightly –at the end of your day…. With warm water wipe off your trouble spots make sure that you use water only.

    2. Apply your oil of choice (OF COURSE) and massage it. Massaging your hair stimulates your scalp-and increase blood flow to those areas

    3. Cover your hair –whenever you are at home-ESPECIALLY at bedtime. Absolutely do not go to bed without your hair covered.

  2. Wash your hair –clean your scalp at least every 2 weeks- when you wash it. This can be done with Apple Cider Vinegar (if the smell is too strong you can mix with ½ water ½ ACV)

  3. Drink plenty of water- think of your scalp –as your face- it needs moisturizing too. If you don’t drink water you hair will become dry, itchy and flaky! Your scalp gets water from the INSIDE out (so water needs to go in-for it be healthy)

  4. Limit use of weaves, glues and anything that pulls on your hair. I know how hard it is !! You want to cover your bald spots and those thin spots. Just remember- the more pressure and tension you put on your hair-the worse it will be.  Your scalp needs to breath!

  5. Your health/exercise. Yes all of this place a big part in your hair and the health of your scalp. Increased oxygen and blood flow-you just can’t go wrong!
