Hey Guys!

I have really been into wash and go's lately, so I decided to finally do one on my daughters hair.

Since her hair was previously straightened, I started off by doing a deep conditioner just to moisturize her hair and ensure there would be no heat damage. I left the conditioner in overnight and then rinsed it out the next day.

To shampoo I used one of my favorite shampoos, which is Tresemme  shampoo. I made sure that there was no build up on her scalp, and that her hair was nice and clean. After washing, I put her hair into two sections, and started from the back and worked my way forward.

Since she has high porosity hair, I really wasn't concerned about what products I was going to be using in her hair. I sectioned a piece off in the back, and started by making sure the section was soaking wet before I applied any product.

After making the section soaking wet, I went in with the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Conditioner, when applying I make sure that each curl is saturated with product and moisturized. I wet the section again with water, and then I go in with the Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel starting at the roots and working my way down. When applying the gel I do not rake the product through, I smooth it into the hair using the prayer hands method to allow the curls to clump.

After I have applied my conditioner and the gel, I wet the section again and I apply Miss Jessie's Jelly Soft Curls and smooth that in as well. Once I am finished applying all of my products, I lay her edges and then touch up any frizzy pieces, and then I seal everything in with my Bare Your Hair Peppermint Oil which gave her hair an amazing shine and also lots of moisture.

When air drying, I let her air dry for about four hours. She has a lot of hair so it take about two days for it to be fully dry. After about four hours I go in with the blow dryer and blow dry her hair until its about 80% dry, and the I apply a scarf and a bonnet to her hair and let it finish drying over night.

When doing a wash and go, you have to make sure that your hair is soaking wet to ensure that the product is applying evenly, and that your hair is getting as defined as possible.

Overall it took me about four hours to do her wash and go.
